Stress is something we all have. We juggle our work life, personal life, education, kids, chores, etc. It’s hard to not get stressed and sometimes I get mad and stressed but whenever I do, I use my tips and helps to calm me down instantly. Let me share of my tips on how to stop yourself from punching a wall
1. Meditation. I used to be one of those people who couldn’t sit still for 10 seconds and always said “meditation is impossible for me” but it takes time to perfect. I suggest starting with 30 seconds of just closing your eyes and not think about anything. There is also guided meditation which you can play while you drift off to sleep. Youtube has many great guided meditations that will help calm you. Now, I am always calm because years of meditation. Trust me, it works!
2. Music. Music is the energy of the universe. It helps us get rid of anger and makes us cry and be happy. Life without music is meaningless. Take time to listen to some tunes.
3. Make time for yourself. People often say “I don’t have time to do anything, I always work.” if you can’t find 5 minutes for yourself than you need to re-think your life. Just schedule at least 5 minutes out of the day to just have alone time. Put your life on hold for at least 5 minutes and stop worrying about everything. Read a book. Take a nap. Lick the dog’s face. Anything!
4. Affirmation. Affirmations are words or phrases that you write down ahead of time and read once a day. They are positive words about yourself. There’s an old saying that if people tell you something long enough, you start to believe it. Well, write down positive things about yourself and read them once a day. Trust me, this works!
