If you’re not making money from marketing info-products, it’s time to switch to physical products.

Why?

Most people try to sell information online, such as eBooks and videos. Information has little face value. So that’s why you need great sales copy and clever marketing. Both of these things take time and lots of trial and error to master. Plus, something that works great for one niche can totally flop in another!

The bottom line is: if you’re just starting out and don’t have amazing marketing skills, it’s going to be very hard for you to earn a consistent income selling information products online.

Physical products, on the other hand, are much easier to sell, which makes it great for newbies. Your job as a marketer is a lot easier because the customer knows exactly what they’re getting. You don’t need top-notch sales or marketing skills to sell these physical products.

It’s no surprise that information products typically have very low conversions. In fact, a 3% conversion rate for a Clickbank product is extremely high. Most online info-products covert at a measly 0.25-2%.

On the other hand, Amazon products can achieve an incredible 8-10% conversion rate. This is because prospects are already pre-sold on the product. The company that makes the product is already spending millions of dollars on real-world advertising.

Reason 2: You’re Not Thinking About Consumer Psychology

Almost all successful marketers say that the biggest “quantum leap” they had, that took them from newbies making mere pennies online to super-affiliates making a full time income online was one simple thing:

Understanding their customers.

The truth is, in order to succeed wildly with affiliate marketing, you need to know what exactly what visitor is thinking when they land on your page. Your goal is to convince the visitor that the product you’re promoting is something they will need in their life.

When was the last time you bought something that didn’t have psychological value to your life? Probably never! Because people don’t buy anything if there is no emotion or core-value of the product that taps into the consumer’s mindset.

The problem is, you usually have to do years of testing, research, studies before you can actually make a few hundred dollars. You have to do your own case studies, analytics monitoring, and fact finding for what type of traffic you need to get and how to turn traffic into sales.

Even more tedious, you must have a software programmed tracking system on all your websites and spend half your day in just reports and analytics monitoring to find out what your visitors are actually doing. For every new website, feature changes on the website, or new offers, you must have 4-6 months of really solid testing of tracking.
Most of the time, when you buy a new internet marketing product, there’s absolutely no engagement between you and the person who created the product.You can spend upwards of 10 hours of your day working on that part alone and still have trouble figuring out what works and what doesn’t!
Reason 3: The Goo-roo’s Product You Just Bought is Worthless

See, most product creators are lazy. They create their products with just enough information to fulfill their sales letter, but don’t give you any real-time training, discussions, steps, interactions, walk-throughs, and person(s) to help you succeed. You start to pull your hair out when you try to follow the instructions, but can’t, simply because important details are left. You end up with a bunch of questions that you don’t have answers to.

The only time you hear back personally from the product creator is when you have technical issues or ask for a refund.

As a result, it can be months of studying, training, and researching before you actually even launch your site that’s supposedly going to make you tens of thousands of dollars in commissions down the line.

Next thing you know, you have bills to pay, family to feed, and your everyday needs to buy what you have to buy.

That just really slows you down, it slows ANYONE down.

Next thing you know, you’ve been doing Affiliate marketing for 1 year, barely surviving, under stress and pressure from family, friends, and bills, and you are no longer having the ‘fun’ of making money online.
